Meet the Band:

Ron “Cous” Cousar

Percussion, Guitar, Vocals

Ron “Cous” Cousar (pronounced “Cools”) was introduced to the life of a musician before his teens, as a percussionists and guitarist. He has performed at Madison Square Garden, Fox Theater, Colorado Springs Balloon Festival and various other festivals, night clubs, and major events. During the mid-2000’s he finally completed his first CD entitled III Decades, with the band “Cous and the Brotherhood”, featuring original blues, funk, and ballot songs. His musical influences include, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, the 3 Kings, Robert Cray, Michael Burkes, Gary Clark Jr., Parliament Funkadelic, and others.


B Mac

Drums

Since going drum crazy when he was 10 years old, B Mac has studied and played classic rock, hard rock, southern rock, progressive, blues and many other styles of music with fabulous musicians. In addition to the drums, B plays rhythm guitar and sings, and he has years of experience recording, mixing and mastering in the studio. Influences include Frank Zappa, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Clyde Stubblefield, David Garibaldi, Chris Layton and many, many others. His equipment includes a cherry red acoustic 1980s Gretsch maple drum set with Zildjian cymbals and also a ocean blue cutting-edge custom electronic drum set named Undercurrent.


Bad Sath

From humble beginnings in the world of Metal, Bad Sath unexpectedly stumbled upon the captivating allure of Funk music. Embracing this new rhythm with an open heart, he dared to venture into uncharted musical territory. Transitioning from the realm of heavy riffs to the land of groove and cosmic soul, Bad Sath found himself immersed in a vibrant world of getting down, where he continued to explore and evolve. It has been a humbling journey, and he is grateful to share this music he loves with audiences everywhere.


E.D Rucker

Vocals, Harp

Influenced by the Motown sound of the 60’s and 70’s and those great male lead vocals of the times, E.D. has dusted himself off and made the decision to become apart of the local stage with this new group. Raised in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California during the 60’s, he was exposed to the creative process by various artist and friends in the music industry. As a former local bar owner in Colorado Springs, his involvement extended to bookings of local bands and former blues and jazz legends. His former management of local talent in the Colorado Springs area has led him to return to the stage and grab the microphone as a vocalist with this current project, “Cous and The Brotherhood”


Kenny Johnston

Saxophone, Keyboards

Kenny Johnston is one of Colorado’s most noteable contemporary musicians. With three albums under his belt he is currently working on a 4th to be released shortly. Kenny won Denver’s KHIH Contemporary Jazz Artist for the year 2000. Kenny was selected “Favorite Horn Player” by the Colorado Blues Society in 2018 and has been on a roll ever since. With almost 40 years of professional experience he is quite a dynamic and versatile musician. As a musician, Kenny plays saxophone, flute, wind machine, guitar, keyboards and sings! He is a writer, producer and arranger. He enjoys creating music at all levels. Some of Kenny’s greatest influences include, Stanley Turrentine, Joshua Redman, David Sanborn, Boney James, Richard Elliot, Dave Koz, Prince, King Curtis. As an independent artist, Kenny works as a soloist, with a duo and many other groups around the state.
